  • Who is it for?

    This course is designed for anyone wishing to develop a basic grasp of Excel. This is an exciting time in the computing industry where the development of platforms and skills sets has been highlighted once more. These key skills sets underpin development within the sector and impact on the growth and sustainability of our economy. At a fundamental level personal development in Microsoft systems skills can help across a wide range of employment sectors and roles. The Level 1 Certificate for IT Users (ITQ) is a natural progression route. This qualification is designed to prepare learners for employment in the IT sector and is suitable for those who have decided that they wish to enter a specific area of work within Administration or the IT industry.
  • Entry Requirements

    You need to be able to demonstrate a keen enthusiasm and interest for Excel and spreadsheets.
  • What does the course involve?

    Your course will look at 'Quick Tools' to widen your Excel experience as well as focus on the key requirements you will need to develop and improve your skills. You will have the opportunity to practise and use the materials on the Microsoft Systems Excel full programme which will give you a suitable level of experience and support to enable you to consider progression to the next level.

    There is no formal assessment.

    The cost is as advertised.

    You may wish to bring a notepad, pen and USB pen with you so that you can save your work.
  • What do I do next?

    You are able to enrol at the College in person or by phone on 01743 342333 between 9.00am-5.00pm Monday - Thursday and 9.00am-4.30pm on Friday. You can also enrol and chat to staff at our advice / enrolment events which happen throughout the year or use our Live Chat facility.
