Who is it for?
The AM2S is the endpoint assessment for the new apprenticeship standard. It is designed for individuals, including apprentices, who wish to work as electricians or as maintenance electricians. By taking the AM2S exam you will demonstrate that you have the level of competence expected by the industry.
Candidates should possess the basic underpinning knowledge and practical skills in all of the assessment areas specified. The candidate self-assessment check list must be completed prior to undertaking the assessment. It is expected that candidates will be working towards a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation.
What does the course involve?
In order to prepare candidates for the AM2S we provide a 1 day refresher course which candidates undertake prior to their test. Topics include:
- Safe isolation
- Lighting circuits

- Completing test paperwork (EIC)
How is the course assessed?
This Training Day is a revision session in preparation for your AM2S assessment. Individual information, advice and guidance will be given by the trainer.
