Our expert teachers will guide you through the requirements of this course and help you progress onto the Level 2 and 3 courses in our industry style facilities. Alternatively, this course can help you gain an apprenticeship within a hair salon or barbers.
You will work in the Training Academy assisting Level 2 and 3 students and could work in Evolve, our on-campus salon, where you will develop employability skills. You will enhance your skills and knowledge by also undertaking reception duties, shampooing, conditioning, styling, blow-drying and teamwork.
You will continue to develop your Maths and English skills and study GCSEs in Maths and English if you have not already achieved a grade 4.
How is the course assessed?

Level 1 Hairdressing
Previous school: Grove School
I chose to study hairdressing because I like to meet new people. When I had my first client I was nervous, but after the experience it was good and it feels normal now. I want to apply for Level 2, then Level 3 and after I want to open my own salon.
