An Advanced Apprentice Beauty Therapist would be employed to carry out treatments including hair removal techniques, facials and body electrical treatments as well as supervising with spa and beauty salon operations.
In order to complete this Apprenticeship you will be expected to complete an initial assessment in maths and English to ensure you are at a suitable level to work towards these qualifications. Some employers will specify their own minimum qualification entry requirements, which would be detailed within their Apprenticeship vacancy.
To achieve this Apprenticeship you will complete the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy
As part of the Apprenticeship framework you will also study further qualifications in English & maths (if required) as well as Employer Rights & Responsibility and Personal Learning & Thinking Skills.
The Apprenticeship theory is taught at college on a day release basis once a week. In addition, you will be visited at your workplace regularly by your assessor, for the duration of your apprenticeship. During your workplace assessments you will demonstrate your competency through doing your job and provide evidence of your knowledge and skills. If you need to complete your functional skills, then this will be covered at college.
Typically this takes between 18-24 months to complete, depending on your previous knowledge and experience.
