This course involves the following units:
- Introduction to autism

- Supporting individuals with autism to live healthy and fulfilled lives

How is the course assessed?
To pass this qualification with Shrewsbury Colleges Group, learners are required to complete six mandatory units. A formal assessment is completed at the end of each module and submitted to us for marking.

This course is currently being offered free of charge. If, however, the learner withdraws early without completing the course, a charge may be incurred to cover the cost of the course materials.

I chose to study a Foundation degree in Health at Shrewsbury Colleges Group as I could study alongside my job at the time (in social work). I found the course manageable and worked hard to fit the work around my job/life. My tutors were super supportive as I was an adult learner returning to studying for the first time since school and things have moved on a bit since that time! I used the FD as a stepping stone to progress into a full degree in Health Studies at university and the skills learned enabled me to attain a first in my degree.
