Who is it for?
This qualification is designed for learners wishing to progress to a wide range of further learning and job roles such as nursery staff, teachers, health/social workers across health and social care, children and young people, nursing, public services and education and training.
This qualification will provide learners with an opportunity to develop an understanding of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) relevant to their current or future roles and will equip them with basic understanding of techniques for preventing and addressing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in practice.

Entry Requirements
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this programme although learners must be aged 19 or above. Good numeracy and literacy skills are advantageous. Entry is at the discretion of the Centre.

What does the course involve?
The course comprises the following three mandatory units:
- Unit 1: Exploring Childhood and Family Structures
- Unit 2: Introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences
- Unit 3: Understand strategies to improve outcomes for children affected by adverse childhood experiences.

To pass this qualification, learners are required to complete a formal assessment submitted to us for marking.

This course is currently being offered FREE of charge. If, however, the learner is withdrawn without completing the course a charge of £100 may be incurred to cover the cost of administration, course materials and registration.
