  • Who is it for?

    Anyone who is interested in cooking and enhancing their skills and techniques whilst making new friends.

     

  • Entry Requirements

    No formal qualifications just a keen interest in food.

  • What does the course involve?

    This is a fun practical class where you will learn new recipes, food safety skills, trade tips and how to present completed dishes.

    The course will cover :

    • Pasta al forno using pork and beef, preparing Gnocchi and sauces that are accompaniments.
    • A classic ragu bolognaise (the base for many Italian dishes), rolling and filling fresh pasta such as ravioli and tortellini.
    • A minestrone soup which will cover vegetable cuts.
    • Preparing a chicken for sauté to make the classic coq au vin with vegetables and fondant potatoes.

     

  • How is the course assessed?

    Feedback given on dish completion.

    You are able to enrol at the College in person or by phone on 01743 342333 between 9.00am-5.00pm Monday - Thursday and 9.00am-4.30pm on Friday. You can also enrol and chat to staff at our advice / enrolment events which happen throughout the year or use our Live Chat facility.
