  • Who is it for?

    This course is aimed at experienced gas fitters with existing gas knowledge and skills who are looking to renew certificates which are due to expire. There is also the opportunity to include additional gas appliances.

  • Entry Requirements

    Individuals must present evidence of their existing certificate to the Assessment Centre prior to the commencement of the assessment.

  • What does the course involve?

    • Core Gas Safety (CCN1) – initial assessment + 3 appliances + CPA1. This is a 3 day programme, consisting of 3 days practical and theoretical assessment.
    • Choose any three appliances from the following:
    • CENWAT: Central Heating Boilers + Water Heaters:
    • HTR1: Gas Fires & Wall Heaters:
    • CKR1: Cookers (not range cookers):
    • MET1: Gas Meters:
    • CPA1: Gas Analyser:
  • How is the course assessed?

    At our dedicated Gas Assessment Centre at Shrewsbury College, London Road, Shrewsbury SY2 6PR we are equipped to fully meet the latest Government guidelines and ACS domestic gas requirements.

  • How much does it cost?

    Core Gas Safety (CCN1) – initial assessment + CPA1

    (includes ACS registration fee)  3 days      £655

     

    Additional appliances:

    Additional appliances from the list above can be added to the Core Gas Safety initial assessment at a cost :-  1 day     £180
