  • Who is it for?

    This course is aimed at providing training and updates to those who hold nationally recognised, gas trade associated qualifications and wish to gain ACS accreditation in Natural Gas Safety. Individuals that successfully achieve ACS Initial Assessment or Integrated Re-Assessment can then operate as a fully qualified Gas Engineer. Individuals must present evidence of their qualifications to the Assessment Centre prior to the commencement of this training course.

  • Entry Requirements

    Additionally individuals wishing to undertake the ACS Initial Assessment must present written evidence of 'on-the-job' gas installation and/or maintenance gas work, carried out under direct supervision of competent operatives employed by a “Gas Safe” registered business. The evidence must be in writing from the employer detailing precisely the areas of gas work previously carried out. Individuals wishing to take the ACS Integrated Re-Assessment must provide evidence of their existing certificate that is up for renewal.

  • What does the course involve?

    ACS updates and training in Core Gas Safety (CCN1), CENWAT: Central Heating Boilers + Water Heaters, HTR1: Gas Fires & Wall Heaters, CKR1: Cookers (not range cookers), MET1: Gas Meters and CPA1: Gas Analyser:

  • How is the course assessed?

    Two days comprehensive training to prepare individuals for the ACS Initial Assessment or Integrated Re-Assessment at Shrewsbury College, London Road, Shrewsbury SY2 6PR we are equipped to fully meet the latest Government guidelines and ACS domestic gas requirements.
