A mix of courses for those aged 16-24 to equip you with the necessary skills for employment, an apprenticeship or to continue with your studies.
College Ready is designed to develop your academic skills, preparing you for entry to a Level 2 college course. ESOL 16-18 will provide you with the language skills that you need to further your employment prospects and qualify you for additional training. The Supported Internship involves a work placement in line with your interests, as well as college attendance, giving you the opportunity to take the first step into the life of employment.

You learn lots of vital skills on the ESOL course, like how to conduct yourself in interviews and manage your time and coursework. I really enjoyed the course and became more confident with my presentation skills. The ESOL course has helped me to improve my English and given me the opportunity to learn new things every day. Now I have a better job, new friends and more free time. At SCG I have been taught to read, write and speak better English.

ESOL gives me the chance to study, improve my English and decide what I want to do in the future. I also like how the teachers explain things when I don’t understand something. The teachers treat us all the same, wherever we come from and other students show respect to each other. The College has given me the chance to learn and do things I haven’t done before.
