This specialised course offers you the opportunity to undertake work placements for hands on practical experience. This course has a strong practical element to it which ensures that you’ll be ready for a variety of careers in the caring professions.

A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English Language.
You will study a combination of human lifespan and development, current research and working in health and social care, disease,
infection and public health. This subject encompasses psychology, biology, sociology and law and this blend complements A Levels.
This practical course concentrates on understanding how theory underpins practice, placements in a variety of settings are a valuable component of the course in both years. The subject provides vital preparation for many relevant university courses by providing:

Placement opportunities are provided for students on this course in settings such as hospitals, schools and other social care. We have a dedicated placement co-ordinator who will work with you to arrange a suitable placement.
