  • Who is it for?

    The Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management is an exciting step to gain a range of key management skills and put them into practice within your own role.  The course is designed to build on your leadership capabilities by motivating, engaging and managing relationships confidently.

    The qualification can meet the needs of both individuals and employers by:

    • Developing effective and confident first line managers
    • Improving relationships and communication in teams
    • Proven skills – to get the qualification, managers will need to show that they can transfer their new skills to the organisation
    • Providing managers with the tools to develop their own skills and abilities.
  • Entry Requirements

    Good levels of English literacy and use of ICT.

    Ideally you will have some management responsibilities within the Education and Training sector but no formal training and need to be serious about developing your abilities.

    Prior to the course you will need to attend the ‘taster’ session which will be delivered on Tuesday 7th January from 5.30 – 6.30pm.

  • What does the course involve?

    Candidates who successfully complete this qualification will achieve a fundamental and valuable understanding of the following topics:

    • Quality Management in the workplace
    • Health & Safety in the workplace
    • Performance Management
    • Communication processes
    • Developing relationships
  • How is the course assessed?

    Assessment will be through the form of assignments and course work and is over a short period of time.

  • Further Information

    This course is suitable for those within the Education and Training sector and places are limited to 12 in the first instance.  The course requires a daytime attendance and two tutorial meetings with all assignments submitted by Monday 9th March.
