Can you help Kickstart a young person’s career?

The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create job placements for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment.

What funding the Kickstart Scheme offers employers

Shrewsbury Colleges Group is a Kickstart gateway for this scheme and the funding we can obtain for you covers:

  • You will not have to pay the salary - 100% of the National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week for six months is paid by the Government
  • The Government pays all associated National Insurance contributions
  • The Government pays all minimum automatic pension contributions.

Further funding of up to £1,500 is also available for training and support, so that young people on the scheme are in a better position to get a job in the future.
