Shrewsbury Colleges Group is hosting a series of course-specific virtual higher education advice events.

The events are aimed at anyone 18 or over leaving full-time education this summer, along with adult learners wishing to return to learning with a view to further their education or career.

Business owners may also wish to attend the advice events, especially in areas including Education, Construction and Engineering, to find out about courses their employees could embark upon to upskill to meet the challenges that all businesses may encounter in the years ahead.

The sessions will cover information about studying at SCG, the course content, funding, payment and finance options and career prospects.

Head of Higher Education at SCG, Michelle Dawes, said: “We realise that choosing the right higher education course and deciding where to study can be a challenge, which is why Shrewsbury Colleges Group offers Higher Education Advice Events to help you to make the right decision on your future.

“The College has over twenty-five years of experience in delivering high-quality Higher National Certificates (HNCs) and Diplomas (HNDs), Foundation Degrees and BA Honours Degrees in a wide range of vocational and academic courses.

“More and more students are choosing to study locally with us because of our excellent teaching, lower fees and high achievement rates. Our HE Advice Events give you the opportunity to meet our experienced and inspiring tutors who teach class sizes that are smaller than universities, giving our learners more individual attention.

“These events will give an insight into our exceptional tutorial support, together with impartial careers guidance, which will aid your employability and further study.

“There are also many benefits to staying local to study higher education courses in Shrewsbury, including saving time, money on travel and accommodation. Most of our courses are studied on a part-time basis so that studies can be fit around your family, work or other commitments and funding is available.”
