Woman working through a financial document

Shrewsbury Colleges Group are happy to announce that we are changing the delivery of our Level 2 and 3 Bookkeeping courses, allowing you to become a qualified bookkeeper in just one year – as opposed to two. You do not need to hold a Level 1 qualification to do this course.

This is an excellent course combination for anyone considering a career change, those that are starting out and want to improve their employability prospects, or for people looking to become self-employed.

The timing of this course coincides with the rising demand for bookkeeping amongst sole traders in the local area, granting new choices and new opportunities for those who complete this course.

Our bookkeeping courses have proven to be extremely popular in the past with a wide range of ages. In fact, 100% of last years cohort said they would recommend the course to someone.

Previous student Allison Mair, Finance Manager at Safety For, said:

“The Level 3 Bookkeeping Course made so many things fall into place on a day-to-day basis.

“Looking at individual subjects was helpful but understanding how they all linked together to create a financial picture of our overall business was invaluable.

“As an SME relying heavily on an outsourced accountancy company, gaining insight into the mechanics behind the accountancy software we use has helped us to make better business decisions based on reliable financial data independently, which has reduced our expenses and has increased my personal value to the business.

“This is great not only for my wellbeing, but also my employability. The course itself was really engaging, lots of opportunities to question processes to gain a full understanding and surprisingly good fun!”
