Exam boards published their advance information for this summer’s exams on 7 February 2022 as requested by Ofqual.
The aim of this advanced information is to help guide and prioritise your revision, but it is not intended to list every detail of each exam. It will not enable you to pre-prepare specific answers, but it may let you know that one part of the assessment will focus on a reduced range of content so that you can prioritise that content if you are using past paper questions within your revision.
Your teachers will make use of this information to help structure revision activities, but they will also ensure that you have a good, broad understanding of all the content as this will be the best preparation for synoptic style questions.
The advance information will only be available from awarding organisation websites, so you are strongly advised to use those sites, rather than being distracted by commentary or predictions on any other sites.

Summer 2022 Exams - Contingency Day Wednesday 29 June 2022
In the spring term students will receive their individual exam timetables, highlighting when their final exam will take place. The summer written exam period will run from Monday 16 May to Tuesday 28 June 2022.
In addition to these dates Examination awarding bodies have arranged Wednesday 29 June 2022 as a contingency exam day for GCSE and/or A Level (or equivalent) examinations in all schools and colleges. This contingency day has been put in place in the event of a widespread, sustained national or local disruption to examinations, giving the option to postpone an exam in the event of an incident and rearrange for a later date to allow all students a fair and equal chance.
This means that all exam candidates must be available to sit exams from the date of their first exam until Wednesday 29 June 2022.
