Get Ready for Summer with SCG and Darwin Shopping Centre

For one day only, spread across the entire shopping centre, you can find a range of activities and stands to help you make the most of Summer 2023. Come and say hello!

Fashion

A catwalk showcase of summer fashions, this show will use clothes available from selected stores in the centre so if you feel inspired, you can purchase the look onsite! Our Hair and Beauty students will be creating the runway looks, styling the models and doing makeup ahead of the catwalk show.

Beauty & Hair

There will be free treatments available to members of the public, so if you fancy a hand massage or mini manicure, we’re on hand to brighten up your day.

Catering & Hospitality

Our wonderful Catering team from the award-winning Origins restaurant will be on-hand to give out delicious samples of food they learn to prepare on their courses, all of which are served in the publicly available restaurant.

University level learning

The Higher Education team will be on hand to provide information on the range of degree-level courses on offer at our London Road Campus.

Distance Learning

We will also be providing information on our Distance Learning courses, these courses are perfect if you are looking to study in your own time or around commitments.

Full-time Admissions

The Admissions team will be there providing information on our 16-18 vocational and academic courses. There is still time to apply to the college ready for our September intake!

Part-time Admissions

There will be an info stand on our hobby and professional part-time courses. Ideal if you are looking to learn a new skill or advance your career.

Know Your Pronouns

An information stand on the importance of using people's preferred pronouns, as well as a free badge making workshop for the family.

Art & Fashion Pop-up Shop

Students will be selling their fantastic artwork and creations from the past year’s work. Come along a pick up a unique and handcrafted piece for the home.

Photography Studio

Photography students will be available to take stunning studio portraits of families, or professional headshots for work and socials such as LinkedIn.
