What does the course involve?
The Fundamental Principles of Oil Painting.
Colour mixing, various brush & painting techniques and caring for your brushes.
Whilst exploring oil paints and their qualities we will attempt to paint landscapes and still life.

How is the course assessed?
You will receive feedback during the sessions.

How much does it cost?
You will need to bring the following:
Canvas boards no bigger than 12” x 16”.
Georgian brush set for oils or a similar quality set.
Paints - Georgian 38ml oil paints.
Lemon yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red. Alizarin Crimson, French Ultramarine, Cobalt Blue, Vandyke brown, Raw Umber and if possible a 75ml tube of Titanium White.
All materials can be purchased on line from Jackson’s Art Supplies, London. With a 2-3 days delivery.

What do I do next?

If you are under 19 or haven’t lived in the UK for the last three years, please contact the college either in person or by phone on 01743 342333 between 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am-4.30pm on Friday to discuss your options further.
You will be required to pay any course fees at the time of enrolment, so please ensure that you have your payment method ready.
