Who is it for?
Students with an interest in researching, exploring and developing art and design techniques on an accredited course.
There are no entry requirements.
What does the course involve?
Use materials, tools and equipment to develop craft techniques; Investigate creative enterprise and employment opportunities; Develop craft ideas; Create, present and evaluate final art and design item.
Students will learn how to use raw materials, tools and equipment in a safe and competent manner / develop analytical and research skills / evaluate own work, develop ideas and learning through the craft process / develop an understanding of health and safety considerations in the art & design environment.
How is the course assessed?
The units above will be assessed and graded, thorough course work submission and discussion.
You will complete a portfolio of work which includes photographic evidence of your completed designs and some assignment work. Your portfolio will be assessed by external moderators for the qualification.
