Who is it for?
Delivered in a realistic training environment, the course includes: general core units and occupation specific units. You will be able to progress to a Construction Apprenticeship, based upon a satisfactory outcome from your Level 2. You must also pass maths and English Functional skills or GCSE where applicable. Progress to Level 3 Construction and the Built Environment or an Apprenticeship.

Entry Requirements
Level 1 qualification in Brickwork. Preferably maths and English qualifications at Level 1.

What does the course involve?
Vocational Units: (All units are mandatory):
- Carry out safe working practices in construction
- Information, quantities & communicating with others
- Building methods & construction technology
- Interpret working drawings to set out masonry structures
- Thin joint masonry & masonry cladding
- Build solid walling, isolated & attached piers
- Build cavity walling forming masonry structures.

How is the course assessed?
You will undertake practical assessments, multiple choice unit end tests and a multiple choice online knowledge test.

How much does it cost?
You will be expected to provide your own overalls, safety shoes and contribute to the cost of any additional enrichment activities.

Additional Notes
All students must attend maths and English and depending on prior achievements and initial assessments will either take GCSE or Functional Skills.
