  • Who is it for?

    This course will help you develop advanced technical skills necessary for the provision of a high level of service within a professional hairdressing salon. Progression can include employment in the hairdressing industry as a senior stylist, specialised technician or a Level 4 management qualification in hair and beauty.
  • Entry Requirements

    You need an NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Hairdressing or prior hairdressing industry experience and must have excellent communication skills, be motivated and committed to the course. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team and be passionate about the industry.
  • What does the course involve?

    You will cover Hairdressing Theory and Practice. You will cover Hairdressing theory and practice and will carry out various advanced hairdressing services on paying clients in the training salon within the College.

    Services include: Creative Styling techniques; Gent’s Cutting; Promotional Work; Client Consultation; Health & Safety; Advanced Cutting; Advanced Colouring; Colour Correction; Competitions and Photoshoots.

  • How is the course assessed?

    This will take place at College and will include, practical input throughout the year with externally moderated exams in theory and practical.
  • How much does it cost?

    It is an expectation of professional practice to wear a uniform whilst in salon sessions. It is advisable to purchase a kit to allow you to practice skills out of College. Order forms are available at enrolment.
