Performing Arts

If you are enthusiastic and passionate about performing arts and have an interest in contemporary theatre, our impressive courses can help you to achieve your ambitions. It is important that students work well across all disciplines - singing , acting and dance, as well as technical theatre.

In 2017 we secured nearly £500,000 from the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership via its Growth Deal with Government to develop one of three advanced manufacturing training hubs in the region. The College continues to seek further opportunities with the LEP.

I have really enjoyed the course, especially getting involved in the pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, where we were allowed to improve and add to the show. Playing Simple Simon was my first lead role and pantomime is such a fun genre to explore.

The end-of-year performance made me decide to come to Shrewsbury Colleges Group. I saw A Night at the Musicals two years ago and loved it. So it is amazing to now be in the performance. The tutor support is amazing and I’m hoping to take a gap year after college, before applying for drama school in London.
