This is for members of the public that want to learn basic plumbing skills that will benefit them in their own homes. There is no natural progression after this course, due to it being a leisure course.
An interest in learning general plumbing skills.
You will learn basic skills such as soldering, pipe bending and other methods of joining pipes. You will also learn how to drain down and remove radiators for decorating purposes. You will learn how to change taps, tap washers and ball valves along with basic guttering and general bathroom maintenance.
Tools and materials are provided but safety footwear will be required for practical lessons in the workshop.
You are able to enrol at the College in person or by phone on 01743 342333 between 9.00am-5.00pm Monday - Thursday and 9.00am-4.30pm on Friday. You can also enrol and chat to staff at our advice / enrolment events which happen throughout the year or use our Live Chat facility.
You will be required to pay your course fees at the time of enrolment, so please ensure that you bring an appropriate payment method with you, (as well as appropriate evidence if you are eligible to have any fees waived).
