Our step-by-step approach includes:
Meeting to discuss your requirements as a business
We will visit your business, at a time to suit you, and explain what it means to take on an Apprentice as well as your more general business training needs. We will also use this opportunity to make you aware of any grants or incentives that you may be eligible for. If you decide taking on an Apprentice is the right route for your business we will complete a vacancy form with you ensuring you make the most of your vacancy.
Advertising your vacancy
We will advertise your vacancy across a variety of platforms including ‘find an apprenticeship’ on the gov.uk site, our own college website, Internal Student Progression Forums, JobCentre Plus, the Indeed jobs site and our various social media channels.
Pre-Screening Potential Candidates
We check all applications for your vacancy. All candidates who meet your criteria will be interviewed by us over the phone before being passed on to you for consideration. We will send your candidates' details to you on a weekly basis whilst your vacancy is ‘live.’
At this point, you have hopefully selected an ideal candidate for your organisation and the successful candidate has a start date. We will then invite your chosen applicant in for an induction and initial assessment (college protocol for all students) before embarking on their apprenticeship.
You can expect to have regular meetings to discuss your apprentice's progress as well as any concerns/areas for improvement. And we continue to keep you updated with regular bulletins detailing any updates and additional services we feel would be relevant for you.
