There are two options to fund your training programmes:
- Apprenticeship funding is available for any member of staff who has a significant learning and development need
- Advanced Learning Loan is an alternative way to support learning, whereby the learner borrows the money for the qualification they need

Sally Ross, Teaching Assistants and Child Care Assessor
Sally graduated in 1981 with a teaching degree and has over twenty years classroom experience, mainly in Primary Education and more recently, Early Years. She has a strong interest in Language and Literacy development and also a passion for the creative aspects of the curriculum. After a fulfilling and successful teaching career, Sally knew she wanted to work with those starting out in their careers so as a result, qualified as an assessor in 2012. She joined Shrewsbury College in September 2016 and is ideally placed to support apprentices with their Teaching Assistant and Child Care qualifications.
