Relationships are important to us and there’s nothing more rewarding than receiving a call from one of our ex apprentices who is now ready to recruit an apprentice of their own.
So, with the current upturn, we’re ready to help you plan ahead for the future. Whether you have a need for an apprentice or on-site training for your existing workforce, we have a long standing tradition of delivering training to your sector. We also have a number of part-time courses that can upskill your workforce.
As active members of Shropshire Construction Excellence, The Built Environment Hub and the Shropshire Construction Training Group, we are well aware of the issues you face and have the expertise to help.
Apprenticeships on offer:
- Carpentry and Joinery (Levels 2 and 3)
- Bricklayer (Level 2)
- Property Maintenance Operative (Level 2)
- Painting and Decorating (Level 2)
- Construction Technical (Level 3)
- Construction Site Supervision (Level 4)
* Please note, this is an apprenticeship standard
We offer a HNC in Construction and the Built Environment which can either stand alone or form part of the Higher Apprenticeship.
NOTE: All of the above are currently available and funded as standalone NVQs for experienced workers.

Leslie Bowen, Brickwork Assessor
After Leslie left school he attended Shrewsbury College as an apprentice bricklayer for two years, where he acquired his Level 2 City & Guilds qualification in 1991. He has worked as a bricklayer, both privately and as a sub-contractor, which has taken him all over the UK, as well as France and Germany. After two and a half years working as a Bricklayer and Site Manager with a company based in North Shropshire, Leslie qualified as Brickwork assessor back at Shrewsbury College.
