If your ambition is to work in the hospitality and catering industry, Shrewsbury Colleges Group has everything you’ll need. The combination of highly trained teaching staff, specialist facilities and professional training kitchens will equip you with the skills required to work in this demanding industry.

Our two large training kitchens each have eight state-of-the-art workstations which are configured to allow students to work in pairs. Each workstation includes individual refrigeration, a sink, high powered gas powered cooking ranges and induction hobs and removable frying facilities, as well as the necessary equipment to complete a range of cooking tasks. Each kitchen also has a combi oven, dedicated equipment washing area, dishwasher and advanced extraction units.

One of our skills kitchens is especially designed for lectures and demonstrations, with students benefitting from an overhead camera which links to a large screen for optimal viewing of the demonstrator’s work surface.
