Upskill your workforce to university level for FREE

Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs)

Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) include qualifications such as Higher National Certificates and Higher National Diplomas that have been adapted to ensure that learners gain the skills that employers need for particular specialist roles and are designed for modular and flexible study.

Free higher-level training

Funding from the government means we can currently offer pairs of units from these higher technical qualifications for free. This modular approach allows employers wanting to upskill their workforce in specific topics, the opportunity to access this without having to embark on a full qualification. Funding is also available to individuals who can tailor their learning to their career aspirations and lifestyles.

Two units from the same qualification make a module of 30 UCAS credits and learners would need to commit to both to qualify for the free funding. If you complete your module and decide to enrol on a full HTQ, you may be eligible to receive a significant financial discount on your first year fees.
