Shrewsbury Colleges Group has announced today that it has created an app for students ready for the start of the new term.

The MySCG app pulls together lots of different information from across the college into one place that can be readily accessible by students. The platform is also available via PCs at home or in college.

There are loads of features for students on the app including access to their timetables, instant college news, up-to-date events, cashless payments information, details of work experience opportunities plus much more. The app also integrates with several of the college's other systems which means that the app will be a one-stop shop for all the information about the college.

Catherine Armstrong, Vice Principal for Students and Partnerships, said ‘We’re delighted to be rolling this app out for students from September. We consulted extensively with students last year and from this feedback, we have developed the MySCG app. This app will provide a single reference point for information about the college for the students which was one of the findings from the research.’

Catherine continued: ‘We’ve worked with Ready Education, who are a market leader in this area, to create the app and we would encourage all our students to download the app as soon as possible. The app is available in the App Store and Google Play now.’

To get your timetable and other key information for starting college you will need the MySCG app.

This platform will be a single place of information about the college for the new term and will also replace the student handbook. It is very important that you use the MySCG app as we will also use it to send important information to you during your time as a student at SCG.

The platform is available as a phone app and also via the myday website, using your student email address and your college password to log in. Instructions for using the MySCG app.
