Virtual Careers Live!
Our Virtual Careers Live! events are an opportunity to take part in an online event packed with career ideas and gain access to our series of live employer talks.
Open to pupils and students aged 13 to 18, the virtual exhibition hall contains stands from local and national employers, universities and training providers. You can also visit our dedicated Advice & Guidance Zone for fun and interactive help in finding your way into a career.
You can also join a live presentation explaining how to get the most from visiting the exhibition hall and get started with career planning. This will be followed by a live Q&A session where you can get your questions answered instantly by our team of experts.
Once you have registered for the event we will also keep you up-to-date with our programme of live talks, which will each specialise in specific sectors of employment, such as engineering, professional services and many more.
These are primarily aimed at Year 11s / school leavers and typically happen in October/November each year. We have added additional dates in February and March.
Due to Covid-19 our Open Evenings are going online as virtual events. These events will include a live feed from our Principal as well as video presentations from our heads of curriculum, virtual tours of our three campuses and lots of information on each one of our courses and life at SCG.
Please sign up using the student’s details via the form below. The day before the event we’ll email you a link to access the virtual Open Evening event.
We look forward to you joining us online!

We offer such a wide range of Post 16 courses, it can be hard to narrow down your choices to three/four A Levels or one Vocational subject, lots of which will be brand new to you and not studied at school.
That's why we run a number of subject Taster Events throughout the year which are a great opportunity to get a better feel for the courses we offer and which ones you may want to apply for. The on-site events also provide you with an idea of what College life is like.
