Summer Examinations Resits
If you left college in summer 2019 there is a process that you should follow should you wish to apply to resit any examinations in the Summer 2020 session.
We are only able to accept resit applications from ex-students of Shrewsbury Colleges Group. Please be advised that the resit is conditional upon permission from the subject Programme Leader and subject to an interview with the Director of A Levels. A charge will be payable to the College.
- Fill in the Exam Resit Application
- You will be invited to a meeting with a senior member of staff to agree how you will engage with the College to maximise your chances of an improved grade. This may include attending some lessons, subject support sessions or another agreed approach
- You will then be cleared to submit your exam entry by the deadline of Friday 5 February 2021
Current students wishing to sit additional exams in Chinese, Turkish or other languages should also follow this process.
Please note that entries for resits will not be processed unless these steps have been followed. The last date for applying for resits is 8 January 2021.

SUMMER 2020 EXAMS - CONTINGENCY DAY (24 June 2020)
In the spring term students will receive their individual exam timetables, highlighting when their final exam will take place. The summer written exam period will run from Monday 11 May to Tuesday 23 June 2020.
In addition to these dates Examination awarding bodies have arranged Wednesday 24 June 2020 as a contingency exam day for GCSE and/or A Level (or equivalent) examinations in all schools and colleges. This contingency day has been put in place in the event of widespread, sustained national or local disruption to examinations, giving the option to postpone an exam in the event of an incident and rearrange for a later date to allow all students a fair and equal chance.
This means that all exam candidates must be available to sit exams from the date of their first exam until Wednesday 24 June 2020.
