MySCG app on phoneMySCG app

To get your timetable and other key information for starting college you will need the MySCG app.

This platform will be a single place of information about the college for the new term and will also replace the student handbook. It is very important that you use the MySCG app as we will also use it to send important information to you during your time as a student at SCG.

The platform is available as a phone app and also via the myday website, using your student email address and your college password to log in. Instructions for using the MySCG app.

Cashless payments at college

The college has a cashless system which allows money to be uploaded onto student ID badges to pay for food and drink in our Hub/café outlets, as well as buy course resources, car park passes and pay for trips.

Once you have enrolled on your course and received your student ID badge you will be sent an email to your personal email address with a PIN number which is needed to create a REMSPay account, the system we use for payments. Here is a full guide on how to set up, make payments, check your account balance, and see what payments are due.

Please remember to bring your ID badge to college and wear it at all times while you’re on the college’s premises. If you have forgotten or lost your ID badge you will need to pay a £2.00 charge for a full replacement ID Badge at reception. Any students who don’t have the means to pay or are in receipt of a bursary must visit one of the student services helpdesks upon arrival at the college. Once a new card has been issued, the meal balance will be transferred onto the new ID badge.

You will still be able to pay for trips and resources online through REMSPay and will be itemised for you to purchase e.g. art materials for art students only. Students in receipt of a bursary will have college meal allowances (£3.20/day) automatically allocated to their REMSPay account but for other items such as trips, books or materials etc, you must visit one of the student services help desk if the bursary receipt can fund the cost of the item for you.
