End of Term Information and key dates at Shrewsbury Colleges Group.

As we approach the Easter break, we would like to inform students and parents/carers about the key dates that are coming up over the next few months.

Term Dates

Friday 31 March is a staff training day so the last day of lessons in college this term will be Thursday 30 March, but please note that this day will be a usual teaching day and students will finish at their normal time. We return for the start of the summer term on Monday 17 April.

Please note that there are three Bank Holidays in May, and the college will be closed. These are:

Monday 2 May
Monday 8 May
Monday 29 May

Learning Resource Centres – Easter break

The LRC at English Bridge Campus will be open from Monday 3 April to Thursday 6 April inclusive and from Tuesday 11 – Friday 14 April inclusive from 8:30am until 3:30pm.

The LRC at Welsh Bridge Campus will be open, for all students, during the Easter holiday from Monday 3rd to Thursday 6th April only from 8:30am until 3.30pm.

The LRC at London Road Campus will be open Monday 3 April to Thursday 6 April and from Tuesday 11 April – Thursday 13 April 9.00am – 4.30pm. Friday 14 April London Road LRC will be open 9.00am – 4.00pm.

Safeguarding

There is support available directly from the college Safeguarding Team during the college day in the holidays. Please be advised that there will be no safeguarding coverage over the bank holiday weekend, so please use the Student Assistance Programme (details below).

Please also remember that you can access our Student Assistance Programme at any time to keep safe over the holidays.

The Student Assistance Programme is provided by the college and gives you access to a 24/7 helpline staffed by BACP accredited counsellors who can help you with a range of issues including:

  • Counselling and emotional support
  • Safeguarding concerns
  • Money management and debt support
  • Personal legal information
  • Medical information (available Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm)

The service is anonymous but includes links up to local safeguarding and emergency services where immediate action is needed to keep you safe.
