What does the course involve?
For basic skills development in practical metal machining, you will be given a base level knowledge of milling, turning, and hand-fitting processes in the engineering workshop.
The course covers:
- Producing components using hand-fitting techniques
- Preparing and using lathes for turning operations
- Preparing and using milling machines
- Working safely in an engineering environment

This is a college-certificated course and will be assessed through observation of practical tasks.
