Who is it for?
The course is aimed at those who use or want to develop counselling skills in a variety of settings. The course offers you the opportunity to identify, understand and evaluate key elements of the main theoretical approaches to counselling and practice and develop a range of interpersonal and counselling skills.
On completion of the course you will be aware of the skills required to initiate, maintain and conclude a counselling skills interaction and integrate these into your chosen setting. The course provides a nationally recognised qualification in counselling skills to those who complete it successfully. The course is also open to those who may be interested in using counselling skills in a voluntary setting. You will be invited in for a Course Taster which consists of a group interview and also asked to provide a reference. If you are currently studying with us at Level Two the taster and group interview will be conducted towards the end of your current course.
