By completing the qualification, learners will develop knowledge of safeguarding in an environment where they have a duty of care.
Learners should be aged over 19, but otherwise there are no specific entry requirements for this programme.
What does the course involve?
The Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent comprises three mandatory units that are presented in two concise modular workbooks:

All you need is a commitment, as Distance Learning is not necessarily an easy option, especially if you are already working full-time. We offer specially prepared course materials, which combined with help and support from your subject teacher make your learning experience easily manageable.
How is the course assessed?
To pass this qualification, learners are required to complete formal Assessments (one after each module) submitted to us for marking.
How much does it cost?
This course is currently being offered free of charge. If, however, the learner withdraws early without a valid reason, a charge may be incurred to cover the cost of the supplied materials.
This qualification may support progression toward the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead.
What do I do next?
Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning
Previous school: The Priory School
I am studying this course as I would like to progress onto the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner course in September. I am enjoying the placement side of the course, as I attend a primary school once a week, which I am finding beneficial. Meeting new people and building new relationships is improving my confidence, as well as building on my skills and knowledge.
