Shrewsbury Colleges Group would like to inform students and parents about some changes to the timetable for the end of June and beginning of July.

There are a number of days over this period where students will not be expected to attend college, but instead do independent study at home or partake in work experience.

On these days, the college will be welcoming school students to visit the campuses ahead of joining in September.

English Bridge and Welsh Bridge campuses students

Students who are studying at either the English Bridge Campus or the Welsh Bridge Campus will not be required to attend college on Wednesday 28 June and Thursday 29 June. Instead, students will be expected to complete their arranged work experience or course work tasks relating to their course.

London Road Campus students

Students studying at the London Road Campus will not be required to attend college on Wednesday 5 July. Instead, students will be expected to complete their assigned tasks at home on this day.

Exceptions

Students who have an assessment, exam or trip will be expected to still attend college to complete the exam or assessment or go on the trip on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 June or Wednesday 5 July.

Adult and Higher Education students as well as Apprentices will be required to attend as advised by their tutors or teachers.

If you have any questions regarding the above, then please contact your tutor or teacher.

Supporting your studies next year

We’d like to take the opportunity to remind students that they can still apply for bursaries as well as other financial support through the Student Services teams at each campus. The Student Services can also provide information about transport options for getting to and from the college.
