Shrewsbury Colleges Group students in The Quarry during summer

Now that the summer term has come to an end, we're letting you know about some important dates and resources for all students who will be returning to college in September.

Over the summer, we are going to be releasing a new student app called MySCG. Your new timetable will be available on this platform ahead of the start of term. We will update you about how to access the app soon.

For now, you can find the week you’ll be expected back in college listed below.

Year 2 A Level & Art students

Your lessons will restart from Monday 5 September as students studying these subjects will have a two day start of year timetable. Your normal timetable begins on Monday 12 September.

Year 2 vocational students

If you study at the London Road Campus, your lessons will restart from Monday 12 September.

Other important dates

For students who have previously received a bursary, we would like to remind you that bursary applications must be redone ahead of September. Getting your application done early means that we will have the decisions ready for the start of term. Further details can be found here.

We would also like to remind you that all travel passes will need to be renewed ahead of the new term.

Summer activity booklet

We have produced a summer activity booklet for you to complete over the summer break if you wish. It’s full of hints and tips to support your emotional health and wellbeing while you are away from college.

The summer activity booklet can be accessed here.

Staying safe this summer

We also have available a series of resources that will help you to stay safe this summer.

Topics that are covered are:

  • sexual harassment
  • removal of nude imagery from the internet
  • Run, Hide, Tell information
  • drowning prevention.

The full article can be found here.

We’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for the summer holidays. We hope that you have chance to relax and enjoy the break.
